Ferrero Collection – a Ferrero product line featuring three established chocolate brands – requested a high-impact campaign. For the first time in Ferrero’s history, they took on large-scale outdoor advertising in Ireland. For another first, they opted for a vehicle branding takeover.
One of Dublin’s Green Line Luas trams was selected as the campaign’s focal point, and it was a huge project from the word go. The greatest challenge was to fit the artwork across every available surface of the tram without compromising the overall design – all while meeting Luas’ requirements for visibility, health and safety.
Our exterior–interior full brand told the story of Ferrero Collection, with aspects dedicated to each of its chocolate brands: Ferrero Rocher, Ferrero RondNoir and Confetteria Raffaello. The narrative flowed from one end of the tram to the other, with images of melted chocolate running past hungry commuters.
Once the design is signed off, wrapping a Luas takes three full days, and is active for three full months. RedC public polling research before and after the campaign marked it out as a success for the brand and its establishment in the Irish market.
